We are thrilled to welcome our Les Turner ALS family back to Guaranteed Rate Field, home of the Chicago White Sox, on Thursday, July 22 for this year’s Strike Out ALS 5k and 1 Mile Run, Walk & Roll.
Both races start at the iconic home plate of Comiskey Park and finish with a lap around the warning track of the ballpark!
We offer all athletes at any skill level the opportunity to compete for those who can’t, either in-person on event day or virtually from the comfort of your own home or community. Sign up to race towards a cure today>>

Dissecting ALS Research Articles with Colin Franz, MD, PhD
As is often the case, our ALS community looks to new ALS research studies for hope and solutions in our mission of creating a world free of ALS. But the information in scientific papers is often very hard for non-scientists to decipher.
As part of our ALS Learning Series, Colin Franz, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Neurology at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and Northwestern Medicine, will teach the basics of reading scientific papers with specific examples taken from current ALS clinical research on Thursday, June 24 at 12pm CDT.
This talk will provide you the tools necessary to methodically and effectively read scientific papers and increase your engagement with the ALS research community. Register for the June ALS Learning Series webinar here>>
