This past Sunday, March 19, the Foundation hosted our annual educational meeting that covered the latest on ALS research and patient care from experts in the field. Over 40 people including staff and board members, people living with ALS and their loved ones enjoyed an informative day that helped fortify their understanding of managing ALS. Paul Mehta, MD, Principal Investigator of the National ALS Registry, Center for Disease Control, shared his insight through his presentation, ALS Research Counts on You. Lisa F. Wolfe, MD, Associate Professor, Medicine-Pulmonary and Ken and Ruth Davee Department of Neurology Lois Insolia ALS Clinic Pulmonary Consultant, provided a respiratory care update. To wrap up the meeting, Cheri Dvorak, CRT, RCP, Clinical Account Liaison, Health Technology Resources, presented an essential demonstration of respiratory equipment.
