Since 2001, the Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk has been a generous Family & Community Event and supporter of those affected by ALS–attracting thousands of participants and volunteers since its inception. Held at Maple School– the run proves to be one of Northbrook’s signature community events.

Started in honor of Maple School teacher Lew Blond who passed away from ALS in 2000, the race serves as an outlet for students and loved ones to cherish his memory.
