DESCRIPTION:About the Program: \nAlthough we know that ALS is currently an incurable progressive neurodegenerative disease\, it remains difficult for patients\, families\, and healthcare professionals to have discussions about the progression of this serious illness and to plan for the end of life. This is most often due to the overarching apprehension that clinicians\, families and patients have regarding how to talk about it\, what to say and most importantly\, when to say it. This webinar will cover how to talk about end of life\, what to say\, and when to say it. We’ll discuss the differences between Palliative Care and Hospice Care\, as well as their benefits\, services offered\, when to seek out this care\, and what you need to know before signing-up for hospice services. \nAbout the Speaker: \nMartha L.
